We collect what you give us: the username you choose, the summaries and sentences you write, and your learning progress. We do not ask for your email address and we do not store one. That is deliberate, and it is why a recovery code, not an email, is how you get back into a forgotten account.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Track your learning progress and provide personalized feedback
• Generate AI-powered feedback on your summaries
• Communicate with you about your account and updates

3. Data Storage

Your data is securely stored using Supabase, a secure open-source Firebase alternative. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data.

4. AI Processing

When you request feedback on a summary, the text of your summary is sent to our AI provider (Groq) for analysis. We do not use your personal data to train public AI models.

5. Speaking practice

When you talk to the AI speaking partner, we keep the text of what you said and what it answered. We use it to check whether the partner is teaching well — whether it cut you off before you had finished, and which grammar rules learners really struggle with out loud.

We do not keep the audio. Your voice becomes text and the recording is thrown away. There is no recording of you anywhere on this site.

Spoken text is deleted after 90 days. Ask us and we will delete yours sooner.

6. Cookies

We use cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. These are essential for the operation of the website.

7. Security records

We keep a record of requests that look like an attack on this site. For example, asking for files that are not here, trying to open an admin page without permission, or sending far more requests than a person can.

We store the internet address the request came from, what it asked for, which browser it said it was, and the time. If you hit one of the site's limits while learning, that is recorded too.

The address is deleted after 7 days. The rest is deleted after 90 days. We keep this only to protect your account and your work. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.
